Walk 15 has gone VIRTUAL!

In recent years, virtual platforms have become quite popular for fitness classes, giving you the convenience of being able to work out at home either through live streaming or via pre-recorded classes. I invite you to take advantage of the online forum - my classes are offered LIVE via Zoom and are recorded so you can to them at a time convenient to your schedule through Recess.TV.

Current Virtual LIVE Class Schedule via Zoom (all times MOUNTAIN):

Mondays 5:30 p.m.  - The Walk 15 Virtual Experience

45 minutes of a combination of cardio, strength and/or resistance training, followed by flexibility for an approximate 1-hour class. The workout may include High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT), which has been shown to be very good for the heart. Tools needed include hand weights and resistance bands. - have these ready to go in case they're needed. The format varies week to week. 

Wednesdays 5:30 p.m. - The Walk 15 Virtual Experience

1-2 Miles of Cardio with or without resistance/strength training followed by resistance training for the lower body. Tools required: Resistance band, hand weights, fit cuff (cuffs that secure around your ankles - resistance tubing connects the cuffs - available on amazon) or ankle weights. Have a Pilates mat on hand - some classes incorporate moves on the floor.

Saturdays 9:00 a.m. - Move & Groove

Balance, stability, mobility & core! This class features exercises that improve balance and stability followed by a cardio warmup. This leads into strength/resistance training and a session on the mat targeting all muscles of the core. A flexibility component ends off the session for a great overall workout! Tools: Pilates Mat, hand weights, resistance band.

On Demand Videos

All Zoom workouts are recorded and uploaded to a virtual platform called Recess.TV. This is a great advantage in the virtual environment, because you never have to miss a class, plus you can do extra workouts when you can fit them in. The platform is loaded with variety!  Visit:

Cost

Individual Videos On Demand:  $10 CDN each (plus approx. $2 transaction fee when booked through Recess.TV - please contact me before booking workouts - I may be able to save you the fee!)

Monthly Subscription:  $85 CDN 

Subscription includes access to all LIVE Zoom workouts as well as unlimited access to videos on demand through Recess.TV. Payment should be made via EFT (walkstrongcalgary@gmail.com) or PayPal (contact me for details).

Ongoing Walk 15 Classes at Tuxedo Park Community Centre - 9:00 AM Mondays

I'm excited to announce that in-person classes will continue at Tuxedo Park Community Centre (202-29 Avenue NE) at 9 am on Mondays! Classes are free for members - visit: https://www.tuxedoparkcommunity.ca for membership info, which is super-affordable at just $10 per year for individuals ($20 Family). 

Move & Groove at Woodcreek Community Association 

Woodcreek Community Association continues to offer my Move & Groove format for 'Active Agers!' This is a registered class series (usually 7 classes per series) with limited space. Move & Groove is open to both members and non-members of the Community Association.

The classes run:

Wednesdays 10:45 - 11:45 a.m.

Fridays 10:00 - 11:00 a.m.
